The idea of a growing church on one level flies in the face of current statistics that show churches dwindling. On the other hand, after reading about revivals and movements of God like the Jesus Revolution, I see this time in history as a ripe time for revival! We have so much chaos, instability, uncertainty and division in our country. I believe the lukewarm believers are the ones who are falling away. The church is going to grow as people get hot for God! How does that happen? When we read the Bible and build up our faith. (Romans 10:17) When we have faith that God can heal today! (Mark 16:15-18, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, Hebrews 13:8) Read about the life of Reinhard Bonnke, whose ministry was replete with healing. When we pray for people as we are prompted. (John 10:27, Romans 8:14, 26; 1 Corinthians 12:8) Remember that we have authority to heal. (Matthew 8:5-13, 9:1-8. 10:1) When someone asks you for prayer, pray with faith. (Mark 11:22-24, James 5:14-16) Prayers answered will cause the church to grow! (Acts 9:33-35, 40-42)
