Look at Romans 1:21-32. Exchanging glory –giving glory to the creation instead of the Creator, is key here. Suppressing the Truth and living with the assumption that we are the captain of our ship and that everything has a natural explanation will leave us shipwrecked on an island of futility and the deep consequences of sin. We need to thank God for all we have. When we do, He will lead us safely in the open waters of life as the true Captain of our soul.
