The centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 tells Jesus to just say the word and his servant will be healed because he recognizes who He is! Jesus has authority to heal because He is the Son of God! He reiterates this in Matthew 28:18. Then Jesus gives His disciples the authority to heal in Matthew 10:1 and Mark 6:7. Later we see Peter and John exercising this authority by faith in Acts 3:16 when God uses them to heal the lame beggar. God wants to use us too to heal in the name of Jesus. We are the current ambassadors and those He uses to heal! Let’s exercise this authority He has given us in Jesus name and pray for those around us.
