This is when we take time to pray and set ourselves apart to follow God’s will.
Jesus prayed this way the night before His crucifixion. In Matthew 26:39, we read that Jesus “…fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.” Consecration is telling God that you are His! It is surrender! Telling God that you are all in for Him! Romans 12:1-2 says to offer yourselves as a “living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.” Dwight L. Moody said, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.” Let’s surrender and let God, by His power, do what He fully intended in our lives, to bring the irresistible love and freedom of Jesus to others.
